Week 34

HOLA FAMILY!!

this week sister Ytac had a bad stomach bug, so not tons happened. but we still saw some AMAZING miracles!! we are teaching a woman named Sharil, and her two boys. they love the gospel and love the ward and want to be baptized, but needed permission from the boys father before we could move forward. there is a lot of background story, but Sharil was worried he wouldn't give permission. the boys saw him on Friday and sister Ytac and i fasted that his heart would be softened and he would allow the boys to get baptized. well.. HE SAID YES!! so they are being baptized July 30th and we are SO happy for them!!!

Yesterday we met President and Sister Gifford! They are so sweet and i am so excited to get to spend more time around them in the future. they are gong around the mission meeting all the missionaries, so we didn't get a whole lot of time with them. i love them already though!

I hope you all have an AWESOME week!! i love you!!

Week 33

hello family! greetings from Delta, CO!

its very different here, but im getting used to it!

Fourth of July was super fun, we went to the Relief Society presidents house for their party, and since we had to be home by 9:30 they sent us home with sparklers so we got to take some classic sparkler pictures

It was SO hard to say goodbye to sister Davies, it felt like i was leaving my family all over again! i love her and know we will be VERY good friends after our missions. but now i have sister Ytac!! she is so dang cute. she is from California, and is about 10 months into her mission. The area we cover is huuuuuuuuuuuuge. like 6 times bigger than my last two areas. its crazy!! the ward is super sweet though.

i wish i could tell you about the people we're teaching!! im still trying to learn names and faces and im a little lost. but im getting there!! i know i just need a few weeks and this place will feel like home.

We cover some of Delta, some of Montrose, and Olathe. so i'll attach pictures and you can get an idea of where im living

Hope you all have a good week!! love you!!!

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY THIS WEEK MOM!!!!!!!

Week 32

hello family!!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!

SO we got transfer calls and i am leaving Grand Junction!! I'm going to Delta, Colorado. from what I've heard, its a small farming town, that will be super fun! im sooo soo sad to be leaving the Fruitvale ward, and Sister Davies and all the people we teach. this area has taught me how to truly love all those we are teaching and it makes me so sad to have to leave them. but i know the Lord has good things in store for me in Delta! i just have to have a good attitude and faith and everything will be okay!

This week sister Davies was (and still is) sick, so she was down and out a lot of the week. we were able to see our recent convert Bret, and go to lunch with him and his daughter! he is doing so well, and loves this gospel so much. he also made us some of his famous cheddar bacon cornbread sooooo that was sweet.

We saw Jessie twice, she is working so much and her phone broke so she is a little hard to get a hold of! but she is amazing and will be one of the hardest people to leave. i love her so much! teaching her and seeing the light she has has taught me so much. I cant wait to see her continue to grow and progress in the gospel!

Thats about all i have to report. i hope dad had an awesome birthday!! i ate stuffed crust pizza at the Harvey's so celebrate :-) I love you all and hope you are having an awesome summer!! be safe tonight!!! Catch ya in Delta!
